December, winning month of sales for Apple’s App Store
December winning month of sales for Apple’s App Store
Last year had been the most winning month of sales for Apple App Store, said by Phil Schiller the company’s senior vice president of worldwide marketing. In an interview with the verge the president said that December had been the biggest month of sales for Apple App store and ended with $3 billion in revenue. With the blend of in-app purchases, paid downloads and fees for subscriptions.
He further added that the App store that was first introduced long-ago in 2008 had blown up $2.2 billion apps, and those app manufacturers were salaried $20 billion Dollars in 2016, up 40 percent from a year ago. After doing rough calculations, we come to know that 30 percent of the total app money wends way to apple, not 15 percent. It indicates that apple completed approximately $8.57 billion in App store revenue previous year.
Guess which will be the most downloaded app of the year? Not a bombshell to hear that it’s “Pokemon go” app and the fifth highest grossing app of the year.
Phil Schiller tweeted in November 2016 that last month turns out to be biggest in terms of purchases, but December’s $3 billion figure revealed that it crowned to be the month of 2016. A good number of the App store revenue still comes from games said by Phil Schiller.
November 2016 was a record breaker for the #AppStore – the highest monthly sales ever in App Store history!
