How to Change your Browser’s “Default Search Engine”
Sometimes people get bored of the search engine or a new search engine takes place so people really want to experience new stuff but they don’t exactly know how to change your browser’s Default Search Engine. So simply follow the steps and change the search engine by yourself.
1.Click on the Google Chrome Menu Button i.e. (☰). That button is located on the top-right corner of the window.
2.Click on the button “Settings” from the menu. A new tab will open immediately for the Settings menu.
3.Click on the drop-down menu in the Search tab to select the search engine you would like to make it your default engine. If the search engine which you would like to add is not listed then click Manage Search Engines… to add more search engines. You will see two lists: Default search settings” and “Other search engines”, which are added as you look through sites. If you didn’t find your desired browser then scroll down and wait for the textbox for adding another search engine.
Fill out the form
This contains the name of the search engine, the URL of the search engine, and a keyword. The search engine will then be included in the list. You can also visit the search engine in Chrome and it will be involuntarily inserted to the list of “Other search engines”.
Click on the “Make default” button to add up the entry as the default search engine. The search engine will be added in the list and you can now use new default search engine.
