Twitter took initiative to discourage terrorism content

Twitter took a new step for the sake of prohibiting terrorism promotion globally, for that purpose solely they have banned almost 377,000 accounts in past few months.

Twitter initiate this new task for the purpose to stand against terrorism with in last one year, they have banned almost 636,248 accounts. Twitter claims that most of terrorist use social networking sites for the sake internal coordination, and to promote their plans. Actually this plan was initiated due to Government pressure but just 2% accounts were the result of their command and through their resources. Almost 74% of accounts were tracked through “internal, proprietary spam-fighting tools.” Which work really efficiently in this regard.

They are planning to continue this working in future as well, twitter got a notice from government in 2012 regarding this issue, and since then they are working in this dimension, first priority of the time for twitter.

Actually it is a high time when all social should have to take initiative in this manner, and all of them trying to overcome this issue at their level, such as Google, Facebook Instagram have some internal filter soft wares which identify any terrorism provocative content in the form of posts and videos and block them immediately. Along with that they also tend to promote anti-terrorism campaigns at their own levels.

Twitter have achieved many notices from all around the world from Government personals to take seriously this matter. Especially of Turkish and German Government. Twitter states that: “we are compelled to withhold tweet sharing graphic imagery following terror attacks in turkey in response to court orders”.
