Amazon finally Provides a Reason of Their Massive Outage

Amazon suffers the biggest outage due to a small mistake of its one employee, to gain customer trust back they have disclosed a clarification.

Actually amazon team is working to overcome some minor flaw in the system due to which there was a delay in its billing transactions. As Amazon states that the S3 authorized member is trying to remove that problem through stop working of one billing system. But due to just one wrong command multiple system stopped there working.

Those billing system also influenced the working of non-billing subsystems which includes mainly the metadata and location information of North Virginia data centers, to Resume these system with complete security checks it was a long time process which needs working of few hours. During that duration this S3 system hurt the working of other system as well those are codependent on it.

It takes longer duration than expected to turn on computers again because they never fully turned off since they were installed. A large amount of data was hurdle in booting process.

After this disaster, Amazon have made several changes in the working of its complete working system, first of all S3 become an independent system any hurdle or problem occurs in its working will not affect the working of other systems. Along with that they also tried make faster retrieval of S3

Amazon also making changes in Aws issue tracker. Trying keenly to improve its working as well to enhance the user experience and to minimize the risk of any query and issue.
