Beauty & the Beast: Disney cut out Gay scene for Malaysia

Disney isgetting bold day by day, in its latest movie of beauty and beast, it’s latest movie was about to release in Malaysia, but there is an issue in the tale, Malaysia censor board is putting restriction in the release of the movie.

Reason behind this issue is that in Malaysia it is officially ban that someone promote homosexuality in the premises of country, along with that if any person involve in such activity will be liable for punishment according to Governmental and religious law.

Censor board demanded from Disney to cut the scene in which Lefou the first Disney Gay character was playing a brief “Gay Moment”. In the country homosexuality is allowed to be shown in only circumstances when it represented as a very bad deed or shown in manner in which is negative aspects are highlighted and the purpose must be of discoursing it.

Censor board states that though the scene is very small. But despite its size, it is unappropriated for its targeted audience which is consist of kids.

But Disney are determined on their stance first they said that the character is not purely gay it was a confused one, secondly just for the sake of releasing a movie in Malaysia they will not going to cut any of their movie scene. Rather they decided to postpone the release.
