Last time India get attention of the world due to its ban on 500 and 1000 notes for the sake of get rid of black money from the country. Now India is again in news for its extra ordinary numbers of internet users, which are supposed to break the record of US in this regard.

For the time being there are almost 400 million Indian those use internet. And by June there is probability that this amount will reach till 450 million. In the last few months’ usage of internet increased by 30 million, which is a huge amount and opens gate for new opportunities.

The growth is expected due to the address of Prime Minister Modi who states that: they will bring internet and very economical prices in almost 150,000 villages. Prices at which internet is expected to available in those villages is determined through the per month wage of residents. So that prices will be reasonable for them.

Indian internet growth opens the dimensions for many international companies, many of them are trying to grasp this huge share of market by designing apps and services keeping in mind an Indian layman’s behavioral and psychographic needs. Those companies include Facebook and google who are trying to enter in this market, either through launching a new customized app for Indian community or providing free Wi-Fi in trains of India.
