It’s time to say Goodbye to Google Space after 10 months

Remember the App Google Spaces?

The group messaging app was launched by Google 10 months ago, assuring a new way for groups of friends to have chitchats around trending topics. But it looks like the launched didn’t take a strong move. The app came together with a slide of Google services like YouTube, Search, and Chrome, permitting the users to share video very easily and additional knowledge about the topic.

But I don’t know what to say, whether it is a bad news or good news. Spaces will come to an end. Google publicized on Friday that Spaces will be power cut on April 17. And on March 3, Spaces will become “read only”, means you cannot use the app further rather just glancing at old chats with your friends.

“Our goal with Spaces was to create a better small-group sharing experience, and we’ll use what we’ve learned to improve other Google products and services. Thanks again for your support,” Google wrote on the Spaces support page.

Spaces kicked off with a bumpy start when it was launched in May 2016, with many users expressing their views about how this app cope with Google’s already packed portfolio of messaging apps, for instance Google Hangouts and YouTube messaging. After that, Google has launched another messaging app called Allo.

But it is decided now, it’s time to say Goodbye to Spaces.
