Now you can transfer money internationally via Facebook
You will be overwhelmed to know that Facebook is not just about to click likes and share posts, now you can transfer money internationally through Facebook.
Facebook has introduced new feature of money transfer named TransferWise that enables Facebook (FB, Tech30) users to transfer funds overseas via social platform’s Messenger service.
The feature can be used to transfer money between the US, Canada, Australia and the European Union. It will also let the users know via an alert when their frequently used currencies strike constructive rates.
Facebook users were capable to move money inside U.S, but not in overseas. Above 1 million customers transfer almost $1 billion each month with London-based TransferWise. The set up, which counts venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz and Virgin founder Richard Branson as investors, is prized at an estimated $1.1 billion.
Facebook first released chatbots for its Messenger app last April. The Chatbots permit the users to keep in touch with the companies in the same way they talk to with their friends. They can give everything from weather updates to private updates and other services. The Chatbots reply to the conversations and brands are using them to replace customer service agents.
